When Scott Hunt was younger, he and pal (and fellow Sprags' founder) Dusty
Whitman used to pretend they were The Beatles. "We would wear our scarves long
and wrapped around our necks (like in the
HELP! movie)," Hunt says.
Around that same time, the pair started writing songs and recording them. Hunt looks
back on those early tapes and remembers thinking they were "the best things ever
made." He sees the progress they made as musicians, but it's more than that. He
also sees the spirit and drive.
That kind of energy has inspired him to go beyond his work with The Sprags. Last
year's Shy Violet joined three other solo projects, including a collection of demos
and a collaboration with his sister Shelby Hunt.
